Nutri App- Dissertation Project

The aim of this project was to design and develop the Nutri App, a comprehensive mobile application that empowers individuals with food allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences to make safe and informed food choices. The app integrates real-time allergen tracking, restaurant recommendations, and user-generated insights, leveraging React Native, Firebase, and APIs to create a seamless experience.

Throughout the development process, I focused on responsive design, accessibility, and efficient data handling, ensuring Nutri App provides accurate recommendations and an intuitive interface. I also incorporated cloud-based storage, authentication, and crowdsourced reviews, enabling users to contribute to a growing database of verified dietary information.

This dissertation not only enhanced my technical proficiency in full-stack development but also deepened my understanding of computational thinking, human-computer interaction, and ethical software design. By researching industry best practices and gathering user feedback, I refined the app to be scalable, user-friendly, and adaptable to real-world dietary challenges.
